Vincent Montenegro, better known by his stage name Vinnie Monte, was an early rock n' roll crooner and teen idol who first appeared on vinyl in the mid-1950s. Monte was in the same league as early pop and rock n' rollers Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Bobby Rydell, Billy Vee, and Dion. The music he made in the late 1950s appealed to the teenage crowd and he recorded several memorable singles. A perfect example is his classic 1958 single, "A Love Of My Own" b/w "Always," originally released on the New York based Decanter label, presented here newly remastered for this exclusive release and finally made available in the digital domain.
