Machine Gun Kelly aka MGK is a not your average white rapper. Born in Houston and coming from a broken family, MGK is a product of his environment. He started rapping after watching DMX's career grow and was named Machine Gun Kelly because of his rapid-fire delivery at the age of 15 when he started doing shows. Settling in Cleveland, Ohio, MGK finished high school and was kicked out of his fathers house and forced to fend for himself. In 2009, MGK won back-to-back Amateur nights at the Apollo Theater in New York. He was the 1st white rapper ever to win at the Apollo. In 2010, he was named Best Midwest Artist at the 2010 Underground Music Awards and had clearly made a name for himself. MGK was signed to Bad Boy Entertainment by Puffy and delivered a major record contract at Interscope Records. His newest album, LACE UP features the singles "Invincible" featuring Ester Dean and "Wild Boy" featuring Waka Flocka Flame.
